Nomorobo Max can analyze and label unwanted spam texts!
In this article, we'll show you how to enable SMS Screening.
- In the Settings app> Navigate to:
- Apps > Robocall Blocker > Permissions
- Allow SMS permission
- After enabling, you can toggle SMS Screening ON or OFF in the Settings tab of the Nomorobo Max app.
By using SMS Screening, you authorize the App to transmit for analysis the phone number and full text message of any message you receive from an unknown sender. Your personal information is never attached and messages from known contacts are never sent for analysis.
Nomorobo Max identifies spam texts in the following ways: First, by phone number, matching it with our robocaller database of over 5 Million robocallers. Second, by URLs in the body of the text message. We have a growing list of suspicious URLs, as well as a list of URLs that are allowed and will never be identified as junk.
In the event that a legitimate text is mistakenly identified as spam, simply open the Possible Spam push notification, and tap Not Spam.
To ensure any future text from this number are allowed through, we recommend adding the number as a contact. Any number that's in your contacts will never be identified by the SMS Screening.
